really almost every new album is a new reinvention, an incarnation. and it was always a success.

This album is going completely against the status quo of pop music right now. At a time when everyone wanted a quick little comeback bop, it speaks volumes on GaGa's integrity as an artist.

I don't know if it's the bravest invention and I haven't heard the full album yet, but yes to go into this direction the three new songs represent is brave because most people including me expected (and wanted) a pop album a la Bad Romance

Yes. And I think this is a good move. Because if she continues doing EDM/Dance stuff, she would come as "hit desperate" so this stripped down image&music is a good decision. It's something new at the same time; win/win

I don't see how this is supposed to be a 'brave reinvention'. She's heavily toned things down from ARTPOP and is now making super inoffensive respectable 'real' music for the adult contemporary lane. It's not even much of an image change from the jazz album. Maybe there's different stuff on the album, though.

It's brave because it's so far away from the music she made to build her fanbase. It's also completely different from the stuff that's played on the radio in the past years.

Most pop stars would release a safe song/album that would be instant smash to quickly gain popularity back (ala "What Do U Mean" by Justin Bieber), but Lady Gaga instead decided to release music that comes from the heart.
