Im just gonna copy&paste what I put in the other thread because I dont have time for these delusional ass stans whos favs will be completely irrelevant in 10 years.
* Madonna has had 17 Top 10 albums in the U.S.,seven of which made it to No.1.
* She is even more popular in Canada, where 20 of her singles have reached No.1, and Italy, where 16 singles have hit the top spot.
* Madonna has 12 No. 1 in the USA singles on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart.
* Madonna holds the record of 40 #1 Hot Dance Club hits in the US, the most for any female rock artist with Celebration (by far the most of any artist in the over 30 year history of the list)
* On the United World Chart, April 2008 "4 Minutes" the 1st single from Hard Candy became Madonna's 13th Number One single, and her 9th number One Single in under 8 years. Madonna sold over 200-230m albums worldwide (estimated)
* Madonna's 13th Number One in the U.K singles chart a record for any female artists with 4 Minutes.
* Madonna is also the female artist w/ most certified singles (gold and platinum) in the US surpassing The Beatles' record.
It takes talent to accomplish all of those things listed above and stay relevant for so many years. Talent involves lots of things and admittedly Madonna isn't the BEST at every individual thing but if you judge her artwork as a WHOLE compared to other artists works- SHE IS THE BEST. Or at the very least the most successful. All of this success takes talent- whether you think shes untalented or not is irrelevant because through all of this success it PROVES she is talented. Its a fact. TALENT DESERVES APPRECIATION. Something cannot be overrated if its ****ing immaculate.
I think the point of this thread is that Madonna is not a powerhouse vocally or with an instrument like Beyonce or Gaga. Her talents are more subtle like in crafting a good song or making her artistic vision come true that's what made (and apparently makes) some people call her talentless.
No. And Rainbows, I don't know what Madonna albums you've listened to, but Erotica, Ray of Light, Music, and Confessions all say no to your claims. They also say no to The Fame / Monster and BTW, but that's another matter. If anything, Madonna is underrated on ATRL and too quickly dismissed by ignorant teens listening to Kesha or Katy Perry as "too old".
