Doesn't make a difference really. It's not like COD has an astronomically large fanbase compared to Pokemon. I don't see the point you are trying to make as Pokemon has failed to win critic and readers awards both.

CoD ha first week sales say otherwise. There's a lot of faux-gamers who buy CoD every single year + actually love them + support them. I think both you and I know that

If people are really taking it that serious then that's alright. It's a simple question really, why has a major franchise that sells millions failed to win a single GOTY award for 10 years? Is it because it's terrible or good?

Well I haven't played the most recent iterations, but at its core its basically the same game it was 10 even 20 years ago.
