You need to calculate your BMR, just google a BMR calculator and you input your weight, height etc and it will calculate how many calories you need to MAINTAIN your current weight. To lose that weight, aim to eat say 200-300 calories per day LESS than that.
Like a poster above said, any exercise that has you sweating and your heart pumping is good and will aid in burning up those calories.
