On-Deck:
30. Jesse McCartney - Departure
- I love some of the tracks from this album. It's still like Right Where You Want Me (which was a great album) = Departure, but still, Departure comes up to no. 30 for my top albums for 2008.
Standouts: How Do You Sleep, My Baby, Relapse, Leavin', It's Over.
29. Danity Kane - Welcome To The Dollhouse
- I had my eye on this group ever since I heard Showstopper. Then, I've heard Damaged once, and I didn't like it. But after seeing the video, I've realized that I should be eager to hear more from them. Now, their second album finishes at no. 29.
Standouts: Damaged, Ecstasy, Bad Girl, Poetry, Sucka 4 Love.
28. Kylie - X
- "You Got It, You Wow Wow Wow Wow". I fell in love with this song when I first heard it. I gave the album a listen, and liked some songs. And as for that, it stands on the 28th position.
Standouts: Wow, In My Arms, All I See, Speakerphone, The One.
27. Chris Brown - Exclusive: The Forever Edition
- I loved this album way back in 2007. I'm glad they've re-released it including one of the most infectious songs of 2008, Forever. Exclusive: The Forever Edition takes no. 27 for my "top albums" list.
Standouts: With You, Forever, Kiss Kiss, Superhuman, I Wanna Be
26. The Veronicas - Hook Me Up
- Untouched & This Love were the reasons why I loved this album. First, I thought they were some kind of a Gothic pop, but then I loved the poppy theme of this album.
Standouts: This Love, Untouched, Take Me On The Floor, Revenge Is Sweeter, Someone Wake Me Up.
25. Duffy - Rockferry
- This Amy Winehouse-ish singer from Welsh brought us a very catchy song called Mercy. I didn't like Mercy at first, but then, I gave it another listen, and then realized the awesomeness of the song. Warwick Avenue, the second single, made me love Duffy even more. The ballad was perfect, and one of the songs that my taste can't ignore. Due to that, Rockferry sits at the 25th spot.
Standouts: Warwick Avenue, Mercy, Serious, Distant Dreamer, Hanging On Too Long.
24. Fergie - The Dutchess: Deluxe
- There's nothing else I can say except this album being good.
Standouts: Glamorous, Big Girls Don't Cry, All That I Got, Mary Jane Shoes, Finally.
23. Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade Of Hits
- It's only on no. 23 because I've already listened to most of the songs here, but Keeps Gettin' Better (song) is pure genius.
Standouts: I Turn To You, Come On Over, Dirrty, Keeps Gettin' Better, The Voice Within.
22. The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing
- Mary, Jo, Lisa, Always the same, That's not my name. When I first heard this, I was like, WHAT WAS THAT? I though someone was like acting crazy on the TV again. But then, ATRL made this song sound nice. Everybody seems to be addicted to it when it was first posted here. I didn't get it at first, but now, they're my favorite band of '08. This album deserves to be called an awesome album.
Standouts: That's Not My Name, Keep Your Head, Be The One, Fruit Machine, Traffic Light.
21. Katy Perry - One Of The Boys
- I didn't like I Kissed A Girl at first listen, even though the song was stuck in my head for a long time. Hot 'N Cold was my favorite song off the album, and the reason why I bought it. I was surprised to hear great songs from this wonderful album.
Standouts: If You Can Afford Me, Hot 'N Cold, Thinking Of You, Waking Up In Vegas, I Kissed A Girl.
