Ivanovic is too irrelevant now. Years of my disdain can do that to a player. Kvitova will likely meet the same fate.

I loved Tatiana!

I remember her from when she first started playing because she was against my then favourite Dementieva a few times.

It's a shame her back ended her career, she was really starting to play some great tennis towards the end of her career. She had a really solid game, much better than most of today's young players.

My #1 favourite for life is Serena. Also fan of Venus, Sharapova (although still desperately mad at her for allowing Stosur to win the US Open) and Kvitova, as well as some other lessers.

Clijsters, Stosur and Wozniacki all need to lose as early as possible in Melbourne. And Serena has to win, of course. Beating Kvitova in the semis and Sharapova in the final, preferably - although the odds of either of them making it that far are slim. Kvitova can't seem to do much on outdoor hardcourts and Sharapova is just a flop in general.

Sharapova lost to Flavia. She was never in contention to win the US Open. She hasn't been much of a factor since she came back from her shoulder surgery. Her game is too loose, she needs to tighten up on the unforced errors or else she'll never be a factor again. The top players are able to walk all over her.

What kinda WS stan stans for SharapOVER Anyway, Sarin has a 2/4 chance of drawing either Petra or Maria in R4... Of course I'm hoping the HBIC draws Vika for the 123193 time and bitchslaps her again

The only sport I actually enjoy watching! I used to play a few years back as well. I stan for Sharapova's grunts and scretches as she hits the ball with so much aggression.. It's music to my ears!!!!!!!!!

I think Sharapova has the potential to do well again but like you said, her unforced errors are one of the main factors which hold her back.

Yeah and if she hadn't flopped against Pennetta she would have played Stosur in the quarters (and won that of course) and then Stosur could still be seen as the irrelevant basic sis that she is and Serena would've won her fourteenth slam.

Vika is playing great tennis. I think she's the safest bet for the title right now tbh. Kvitova is too hit and miss and unless she plays herself into form she could get knocked out early on. Anyone with weapons can beat Wozniacki, so after the first two rounds she's always going to be vulnerable.

I don't think SW is going to be much of a factor this year. I hope I'm right.

Don't try it. I stan for those who make the game interesting, and as a Williams stan I admire her fight.
