HAHA. Jealous of Aniston I see. She is doing great & has been nominated/won every possible award for her role. The Oscar nom is the last thing left and of course the haters gonna hate-hate-hate.
The definition of pressed all around. Not anyone bitching about this trying to act like 85% of the nominees around awards season have all been campaigned for in some way, shape or form. A movie not being the best has nothing to do with the quality of the acting from the cast. This is just a reach to the high heavens.
Jennifer Aniston is making me question the validity of the Academy Awatds. She has already used her money to put full-paged ads all over Goldderby and other pundit sites. I feel bad for lesser known artists who will be snubbed because of it.
How is an article on collider or an appearance on Dr. Phil going to help her with voters? It's the behind the scenes stuff that the average audience doesn't hear about that makes a difference, and it's stuff that goes on every year.

oh really? bc campaigning for oscar noms/wins is something new

Poor Marion Cotillard, who is so good in two acclaimed movies
Even if Julianne does win, do you honestly think Still Alice is Oscar worthy in any aspect?
That's an interesting discussion, because Still Alice is really no different in quality than The Imitiation Game and The Theory of Everything. Yet somehow Still Alice is derided as "an overgrown Lifetime movie" and the two others - starring and about MEN - are Best Picture contenders. All three are mediocre and centered on their lead performances, but somehow the woman's movie only gets questioned on its "Oscar-worthiness."
shes already won an oscar? how the f is she unknown
She's not unknown but even though she's been picking up steam the last two months for her two performances campaigns like Aniston's will throw more worthy performances out.
I'll be a little sad if Marion Cotillard doesn't make it to the Oscars. She has won the most awards so far this season from what I can see but her being in a French film, will probably be overlooked instead.
