I love both songs, but I would say "Roar" is doing better worldwide since it's impacting harder in places where sales/certifications are truly going to matter in the end; whether she's #1 in US, Australia, Mexico or just being a position higher in big places such as Germany or Switzerland. "Roar" will probably show out when full released in the UK, another major place "Applause" is really failing to show anything impressive.

Songs/albums equal weight. Small/irrelevant countries are weighted 25%.

That weighting is off. Really off. It means chart positions in places like Macau can skew his worldwide iTunes chart. Roar is selling more.
