I'm sick of (usually) white gays that only care about issues that concern them. Glad to see most people don't think like that here.
People are gonna say don't generalize but there's a nice portion who feel that way. Not saying you should lump them all together but yeah.
It's basically marriage equality or gtfo when we have so many other issues we need to work on.
We're not very respectful to each other and I feel we need to be called out on it.
In some ways, maybe it would be a step forward because it feels like more often than not the 'T' gets lost and forgotten about when discussing LGBT issues. Perhaps standing alone may help to shed some light on issues that need serious addressing (amount of trans suicides, equality for trans, etc.) within the community. There's arguments both ways and I don't think that people should be so quick to attack those saying they should drop the 'T'.
NO trans people have been a part of the gay rights movement since stonewall, they are an integral part of gay culture, they suffer from so much abuse not only from straight people but ignorant gay people as well. especially young gay people who finally are growing up in a world where they can be open about who they are and in turn are throwing trans people under the bus. LGBT didn't come out of nowhere, we have a long history of fighting together!

I see your point of view but the trans community get enough **** as it is. Them standing alone will be even harder for them to get noticed.
Trans women STARTED the gay rights movement in Stonewall. They were the ones who fought against the police in the first place and risked their lives, NOT the young, upper middle class white male gays the media tells you are the face of the gay rights movement. No, it was poor, working class, black trans women.
And now you want to "kick them out" because some bigots would rather cater to gays than to cater to gays and trans people?
Our struggle is the same: we exist outside of the strict gender roles society enforces upon us. How DARE you suggest they suddenly not be given support. How selfish.
