Who said for every corporation and movie to advocate for it though? This is about them doing one movie, not a whole saga or decade around homosexuality.
I think by time this would likely occur, movies will no longer be one of my most prioritized methods of entertainment. The world has to work against thousands of years of psychological manipulation and prejudices. So basically...not in any our lifetime.
With gay people as the main characters? No, I severely doubt it. Having a secondary character who doesn't say they're gay specifically but it's heavily implied or shown through their actions? Sure why not. (and the sad thing is people would complain about even something small like that )
