And THIS is the reason why this topic gives me serious headache. I totally get the point of both sides (well there are more but usually It's the fem vs. masc thing)

Everyone is screaming internalized homophobia but in fact they are just normal people with issues like everyone else. Nobody said being flamboyant and "out there" is the right way to be gay and there are no "straight jobs" or "straight hobbies".

Those are stereotypes that fem gays brought up by themselves if you ask me.

I don't really hang around with fem gays but I respect them a lot. Fems + drag queens are the ones who have the balls to fight for our rights and make progress in humanity. I would never say they give us a bad name.

No one's attacking masc gays. The point is, fem gays go through a lot more **** than masc gays, and many mascs (not all, and perhaps not y'all here in the thread defending them) take for granted the fact that they don't face as much hate because they're not so obviously gay. Many fems get **** from mascs as well, which is ridiculous considering we're a part of the same community. It's not that difficult.

There is a difference between saying being masculine as a gay is OK, and saying feminine gays are NOT ok/shameful.

This thread is obviously about the latter so why bring up the former yall are just

No. These stereotypes exist because the average person is straight thus they create history. And while a more masculine gay guy can pass off as straight-acting, and would be forced to do so due to the intolerant nature of the time, fem gays can't really hide whom they are thus they seem to be more plentiful and notable, especially throughout history.
