Starting off this years countdown for my best of the best K/C/J-pop Songs of 2014 is non other than the retired King Of K-pop himself Rainsus and his one of two title tracks from his album Rain Effect, 30 Sexy. Personally I expected this song to smash when it was released I mean the video for it alone is slayage enough. The hypnotizing instrumental, the verses being a bop on their own and the sexy chorus are enough for this to land on my list
GODS7 their first and certainly not their last entry on this list goes to their track I Like You off their debut album Got It?. One of their many holy hyms this song is gives me just a bit of 2 songs in 1 teas with it's verse being rapped and then its chorus transitioning into some vocal talent on a lighter note. The instrumental is especially with that high pitch voice in the background lkdjf
Pretty sure it took this song 2 years to finally get released and the amount of times I replayed the small snippet of this song from 2012? is sad nnnn, However when this finally got released I bop my little in the closet sone heart out till I eventually realized this was just 5 memebers of SNSD covering a Britney reject, which I'm totally okay with cause it slays 99% of their korean discorgaphy
Out of the 2 solo debuts from T-ara this year Hyomin's was definitely my favorite one despite her song have such terrible lyrics with a bad message but aside from that mess Hyomin served Visuals, minor choreo and a cute summery bop oh and another recycled Brave Brothers anthem
King's already snatching their 2nd spot on the countdown! Although "A" wasn't the follow up slayage I expected from Got7 it's nonetheless a pretty solid song, I really enjoy the whole retro vibe they had going on and even though the chorus is annoying as hell it's still catchy and I've never heard someone pronounce A with such slayage. The video for it also slays especially with them paying homage to Queen Slaymi her smash 24 Hours
The first J-pop song to make my best of 2014 list goes to none other than Koda Kumi's lead single "Show Me Your Holla" off her latest album 'Bon Voyage'. Serving me show girl realness on steroids meets cabaret teas, Kumi deff served with this single both sonically and visually cause the choreo to this song >>>>>
A pretty unexpected sub-unit coming from 4minute, Jihyun, Jiyoon & Sohyun team up and serve on this cute little album track which I'm pretty sure is the most lines and screentime the good sis Jihyun will probs have in her career with PhoMinute nnnn.
Got7 Coming for their 3rd spot on this countdown already with their latest single "Stop It Stop It". Despite a majority disliking the song and it supposing to be their "break through" hit despite flopping I'm in the minority that's actually slayed by it. I actually really enjoy the autotuned chorus for some reason it just adds something to the song and makes it catchy and the whole retro sound and theme is more enjoyable and forward in this song than their last single "A"
One of my recent musical discoveries in 2014, Queen Tomomi and her Japanese slayage >>>> Ironically enough when I first heard 'Dear, J' I was completely turned off and disliked the song but somehow it snuck up on me and slowly started slaying me, then I discovered it's music video and was completely sold on it's slayage! However I will say the opening synths of the song is probably my favorite part of the whole thing
Final reveal of the night and it goes to the top teir ladies of Wa$$up and their bussy boppin album track "Stupid Liar". Sounding like something DJ Mustard would of produced Wa$$up stay serving flawless bops and this sensual anthem is no different from the sexy verse to addictive chorus and of course Queen Nada her rap serving the best part of the song
