No. It will pale in comparison to The Fame (Monster) era and even Born This Way the albums biggest single will pale in comparison to the monster like success of her previous singles like Poker Face, Bad Romance, Just Dance and Telephone. The only thing that could be memorable about the Born This Way era would be the first single. Since then it's all been down hill. There isn't really a lot that's worth remembering.
I think it will be iconic, not for the music but for the pro-gay mantra behind it. And for the fact that she took a major risk by almost alienating other fans in her undivided support of the gays.
Frankly the first few months including the AMAZING hype before album release and till the album's one million debut......everything was seriously noteworthy. After that it seems like a blur...i can only imagine what happens in a year or 10 years from now when one tries to recall the era.
I'm inclined to say no.
It will be remembered for all the bad reasons unfortunately.
The album cover.. the price.. the hype
The extremely long music videos
The teal hair
The decline
