I would NEVER buy a Wisin & Yandel album. For all I Know, they're already on the 4th single.

And regarding the singles master list, "Shorty" by Casa de Leones is WAY too recent to be considered. And for more Randy fun, try Voltio's new single "Ponmela". Good stuff

Solid hip-hop album that's very enjoyable from beginning to end. It won't change your life but you'll have a great time every single time you spin this ****!

14. Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape

This made my last year's chart at like #3 or something, but I decided to put it again since I basically *****d it the entire year specially around July 15th which is when she came to Mexico City. A few weeks before and after that, this album was the only thing I played literally so I just couldn't leave it out.

13. Tyrese - Alter Ego

This awesome vocalist hasn't been able to top How You Gonna Act Like That's success but he still makes quality music! Alter Ego is a double album: one album has 10 r&b marvels and the other has 10 rap songs...yes...Tyrese RAPS in this album (or at least his alter ego Black Ty does). While he isn't exactly bad at rapping, the truly good songs are the ones on the r&b disc. All 10 of them are wonderful including his moderate hit "One".

12. Alicia Keys - As I Am

Excellent album. It should be higher, but I only got it 2 weeks ago and I haven't been able to truly enjoy all of it so that's why it's this low. Had this been released a few months earlier, it would have no problem making the top 3 whatsoever.

Possibly the most succesful reggaeton artist ever. Even though this album has 21 songs, it never gets boring or repetitive.

So this year I basically stopped watching TV, not because there are no quality shows, but because I don't have time anymore! There's a lot of shows that seem promising and I wanna watch but for some reason or another I never got around to doing so (Heroes, Pushing Daisies etc). The few shows I did watch and enjoy throughout the year are as follows:


#3. 24 (Season 6)
Always been an avid fan of the series and this season was no exception. It was my least favorite season but that doesn't mean it was bad. They did abuse some previously used storylines like "invoking of the 25th ammendment" or "middle eastern terrorists with nukes" or "let's shove some consulate's sovereignty up our asses" but, as usual, you never knew what to expect and the surprise factor is more than enough to put it at #3, that and the ever-so-hot DB Woodside (Wayne Palmer)


#2. Prison Break (Season 2)
Okay that promo pic is apparently from season 3 but the season aired in Mexico this year was the second, I just couldn't find anything from season 2.
Anyway this show is excellent! I know the whole government conspiracy thing is a little over the top but other than that this show is very creative, innovative and, simply put, amazing!
The season finale's cliffhanger was excellent and I'm dying to know what happens next. Season 3 will begin in march here so no spoilers please!


#1. Lost (Season 3)
So I got addicted to this show sometime last year when I borrowed the DVDs from a friend and a few months later the 3rd season started airing in my country. It came at the perfect time because I really really enjoyed watching it in a time where I needed to get distracted from some stuff happening in my life.
Many people complain this was the worst season because it was the most farfetched season so far, but then again the show stopped making sense a while ago so I guess that's an invalid argument. It's fiction so it really doesn't matter. What I really hated is that they got rid of Eko and Charlie, and that they abused "The Others" storyline instead of focusing on the survivors trying to get rescued. Ohh, and Nikki and Paulo had potential, why did they get rid of them soooo fast?!
Other than that, I can in all honesty say this was my favorite show of the year!

10. Good Charlotte - Good Morning Revival

So this isn't exactly my type of music but I love this band! They failed to reach the quality of The Young & The Hopeless, but managed to pass The Chronicles of Life And Death. This album sticks to the sound that propeled them to success, but it definitely shows a lot more maturity in the lyrics. If they continue making music half as good as this, I'll remain a fan for years to come. The 3 singles released so far are my favorite songs in the album, and Dance Floor Anthem became their most succesful single since Lifestyles which shows the great intuition they have when it comes to picking singles.

09. Anthony Hamilton - Southern Comfort

This is a collection of previously unreleased songs and whenever I hear them, it only makes me wonder why in hell were they left off his major studio albums. This album is on par with his previous effort Ain't Nobody Worryin and well he's probably my favorite male singer ever so yeah, number 9 it is!

08. Beyoncé - B'Day (Deluxe Edition)

I never listened to the original issue of B'Day but it's definitely an amazing album that deserves a spot on this list, even though technically it's from 2006. Shove it.

07. Jaheim - Makings of a Man

Quite possibly the best r&b album of the year. Why is it this low you ask? Because I've only had it for 5 days and I haven't been able to fully enjoy it.

06. 50 Cent - Curtis

Hate all you want, but you gotta admit the production behind this album is amazing. I haven't heard Graduation in full but I can almost assure you this is better than Grad. Aside from "Fully Loaded Clip", there's no filler on this album, it's one of those records you play at a party and it's guaranteed to make people go crazy.
