Gaga wasn't "redoing" her song, Madonna needs to stop. That chord progression has been used in several songs. It happens quite often in the industry actually.
Good shade? This is the same stuff that people were shouting up and down these boards since almost a year ago when the song came out. I mean granted, some of it has to do with her just not commenting on the matter for a while, but still. I wouldn't say that was that clever. I mean hell, even Gaga talked about the whole chord thing. Madge didn't even have to know anything about music to say this.
One has to wonder if she actually thought it immediately, or if she "realized it" after everyone said they sound alike.
I am so done with hearing these stupid comments that compare Express Yourself and Born this Way. They lost what little fun they had 10 months ago. Everyone needs to move on, they really don't even sound all that similar and it was stupid how they blew the whole comparison up to begin with.

Does no-one else think it's ridiculous that Madonna is using Lady Gaga to get herself in the news? Ironic that Lady Gaga has the good graces not to do that to anyone.
While it's true that Lady Gaga has taken other people's ideas, it's also true that Madonna did the same. Madonna was an expert at using other people's gimmicks and strategies to market herself. Who can forget the fact that she basically copied everything Marilyn Monroe did in her clip for Material Gril?
Madonna is as prone to taking other people's ideas as is Lady Gaga.
