I mean, it wasn't a fantastic year for pop music imo. I don't yet have 40 songs for my top 40 pop list. However, I have to trim a list of over 40 rhythmic/urban songs for my top 30 there.

Singles aren't really a problem for me, but the albums list... A tragedy.

I suppose that this thread is as good of a time as any to formally announce that this year will very likely be the final year of the Year-End Crazy Ambition. The process of doing the YECA has only been getting tougher as years pass, and I don't really post often enough these days to justify doing these huge year-end threads every year. I don't think that I'm going to stop participating in the Best Of forum altogether, but the days of doing lists and lists and lists of stuff is probably ending.
Still, that just gives me even more of a reason to end the YECA on a high note, and this will be the biggest YECA of them all. It's (nearly) showtime.

I always wondered why y'all open this subforum so early and close it 4 days after the year ends. I don't finish my BestOf rankings until December 31st because that's actually when the year ends
I typically don't end my yearly tracking periods until Christmas so this will mess up my charts
I usually don't even start mine til January 1st.
