And I'm proud of her but I'm talking about the Black female artists as a whole not just 2 or 3 popular ones who already had a huge following.

Um yes he was I'm not even going to debate on it. Every track he touches turns to gold, so lets not!

There will be a time when Dance music is not as prevalent on the charts, and another genre will come to replace it. R&B was very popular on the charts, especially in the 90s, and in the early 2000s-2006. Then dance took over, and now another genre will take it's place. It will all come around full circle.
R&B is not "2000 and late." In 2004 I'm sure a dance song would make minimal impact on the charts except for a few exceptions, but now it will.

Right now, elctropop is in. Why do you think nicki's there? Or rihanna? Most black female chose to do more ubran singles, ex: bey, Kelly, Mary

But they have not been relevant for a while. More people are going pay attention if one of the major pop girls release something rather than Kelis, Kelly, and Cassie. Not every RnB/Hip Hop black female is doing electro/dance.

And there have been countless other black females from Aretha Franklin through Patti LaBelle, Tina Turner, Brandy, Monica, Aaliyah, Toni Braxton etc. who have had number ones, let alone top 10 hits.
So historically there has been no problem. I believe as others have said that it's just due to the prevalent musical style dominating today's charts rather than any race issue.

I agree this is somewhat true but don't u think the digital age has played a part in it too. Half of the R&B ladies don't have an internet presence and don't seem to be making an effort. I think that plays a part in it too. But iTunes etc is making it so hard for them to even get a top 10 on Billboard's R&B charts w/ Chris Brown and Lil Wayne flooding that chart. I just don't understand what happen?

Lil' Wayne didn't make "Motivation" a hit. Lil' Wayne is featured on like 100 songs a month and only 5 of them become successful. "Motivation" had a good melody, a great beat & video, and good timing. If that's the case "I'm Into You" by Jlo should of been a big hit also.
Just because Lil' Wayne, Rick ross & Chris Brown are radio staples, doesn't mean it will be a hit.

Cassie is a one-hit wonder and Kelis hasn't had a hit in years. Rihanna and Nicki already had track records, so not only are they following the popular trends, but they were already popular beforehand.

I don't think this holds water. There's probably a proportionate number of famous black female artists vs. the number of black women in the overall population. We've had Whitney, Janet, Mariah, Beyoncé, Ciara, Rihanna, Mary J., Nicki, Missy, Alicia, Amerie, Ashanti, Brandy, Monica and others all having big hits--many in the last decade alone.

There are very few black women showing active interests in making the type of music that is dominating the charts right now. Rihanna and Nicki WANT it and they're good at it so that's why they're so relevant now. I think black women not sitting high up on Billboard right now has to do with them just not clicking with the whole pop thing right now and also just not being interested. I don't feel like it has much of anything to do with other people not "letting" them. If Rih and Nic have shown us anything it's that black girls can do what everyone else is doing and be successful at it IF they really want it and aren't afraid to step out of boxes.

So u telling me that a new group of black female artist need to come along w hot electro songs to score a hit I'm wondering is Janet, Beyonce and Alicia gonna have a hard time coming back in this electronic dominant industry?

Nicki Minaj trys to be white, even in the RBMS video she lightens her skin. Not being racist, but when Rihanna tried to do this whole urban "thug" thing, her era went downhill. Nicki does dance music, dresses weird, lightens her skin in pictures & dies her hair bleach blonde and her era is doing quite well.

The only time Janet came with a pandering electropop first single in 2008, it was her first top twenty hit in six years.
