Its not really Matt Smith hate on my end that made me dislike the past few seasons as much as the earlier ones. Its Moffat hate all around. I wish we could have seen 11 with a different show runner

Couldn't agree more with this. Moffat written episodes are pure gold but the whole feel of the series wasn't right.
LOL! Episode 4 is written by Moffat. He's brilliant in making aliens that are unique in a way that incorporates trivial matters and make them psychologically scary (i.e. blinking, forgetting what you just saw, cracked on the wall etc.).
I bet it tackles on an alien that dwells on sounds or something. Even the title is reminiscent of "Blink".
