I disagree with the bolded. Team was a top 6 (or 5?) hit in the U.S and did pretty well on radio. (On second thought.. Are you talking about Iggy or Lorde? Because Iggy's Team is a flop, but Lorde's isn't).
Do What U Want may not have been a top ten smash, but it did moderately well especially when considering the lack of music video and Gaga's personal / management issues at the time.
I am sick and tired of seeing these comments that Till it Happens TO You flopped. Does anyone here honestly expect a song about rape, when we live in a culture that condones rape, to be a smash hit on the charts? The Hunting Ground came out in March (I think), the song leaked a few weeks after, and was only officially released in September. Furthermore, it was pretty obvious that Gaga and her team wanted the song to have as much
social/cultural impact as possible, rather than being a top ten hit (and obviously they were gunning for high profile awards as well).
I agree with you on the rest, though. Considering the amount of promotion Marry the Night had, it should have been a top ten hit (I'm still upset at it flopping, the gp did Gaga wrong).
