She's got touring on her side but she would need better airplay, which is the strongest factor.

Right now, the list should look like:
1. Rihanna (strong airplay and streaming - most important in charts)
2. Katy Perry
3. Taylor (about to pass Katy)
4. Adele (would be higher if she had better airplay but she only released like four singles this decade)
5. P!nk

Beyonce will probably be top 10 for females, though

Album sales are not as important as airplay to BB's decade charts. If they were, Beyonce would've been behind Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Norah Jones and Christina Aguilera on the decade list.

Rihanna is above both Adele and Taylor right now. So is Katy.

well album sales are just a fraction of everything, but they can be significant if the person sells a lot.
plus, bey won the 2000s not the 90s so i dont know why you are bringing up artist who sold a lot of albums in the late 90s
