British singer/songwriter, Sam Smith, looks set to score his third Official Singles Chart Number 1 on Sunday with Stay With Me.
The track is the third single to be lifted from the singer’s upcoming debut album, In The Lonely Hour, which is set to be released next Monday (May 26). According to the Official Chart Company's sales data, is currently outselling its closest rival by two copies to one at this midway stage.
Up to midnight last night, the group’s new studio album, Ghost Stories, has sold over 105,000 sales since it was released on Monday (May 19), according to the Official Charts Company’s sales data.
These are great sales. Even since their last album release sales have plummetted for albums so its unrealistic to keep expecting them to match previous sales in these gloomy times. Thankfully they have one of the biggest global fanbases in music so their overall WW total should be very impressive.
