Even if they used the approach they do in the UK, the songs still wouldn't debut at #1 in the US, because they'd start charting beforehand from airplay and streaming. Like I'm Out by Ciara, it's been held back, but it debuted at #50 last week without being up for sale.

However, Harlem Shake did debut at #1, but I know that's a rare case lol.

Gaga's team basically prooved they're capable of that and more when they shamelessly discounted "Born This Way" to less than a dollar on release week.
