Madonna's career has spanned decades, with its ups and downs, hits and scandals, etc. Saying someone is the next Madonna based just on a string of successful singles, or saying they're not based on "flopping" is dumb when they haven't shown how they will perform over 30 years.

I agree and this is a shallow comparison it's almost like people forget there is much more to LEGENDS like Madge and other in her league than how many times they topped the billboard charts. But since that's the only leverage some katy stans have to brag about, i'm not surprised they only brought up single sales.

It's pretty much impossible for any artist to achieve the level of fame Michael and Madonna had nowadays. With the internet, the public can be exposed to so many artists and its rare one artist rises to be a huge icon.

Okay then I think you need to look up what pressed is, and funny you could only call me that but yet couldn't deny any inkling of what I said in the post which was pure facts and truth. Like I said again katy lacks all of that in comparison to Madonna, because Katy is relatively new in the industry. And Madge has been shutting it down for 3 decades strong now, sweety being one of the most popular acts for a couple years now doesn't mean anything to me. Plenty of acts where extremely popular but as time went on their impact is not as strong compared to their other contemporaries of their time.
