Made famous by John Travolta and Olivia Newton Jones in the movie "Grease" in 1978, the legacy of Danny and Sandy's summer fling lives on in the faux-'50s tune that warmed up to the top five at the height of the disco era.

School, he growled, was not only out for summer, "School's out forever!" The gritty tune peaked at No. 7 on the Hot 100 in 1972.
@ you guys only knowing 1 or 2 songs. A number of these songs are summer anthems along with them being played on a number of commercials. But then again, a number of you are only here for tha plastics so im not surprised.

My summer anthem till I die. My dad would always play this song growing up. Don Henley was also in The Eagles from the 70s. I can't believe some of you people haven't heard any of these amazing songs. You're truly missing out on some hidden gems.
