I was going to post that to. I hope it means this month since they've pretty much wraped up the album production. I think they should release it late January then promote it at The Grammy Awards! That way Carrie will get huge sale boosts and she may pick up her second 2x Platinum single finally!

I doubt she is going to perform at the Grammys. It's very hard to an artist perform a non-nominated song, but there is still a hope. And JTTW is so close of 2x platinum  CC and RM are going 2x platinum next year.
SS and probably ITYS are going Platinum within the next few months. MS may go gold this year also.
I need the lead single out as soon as possible :deadbanana/.

True.. All though Carrie's a Grammy favourite and I'm sure they'd allow her to perform a lead single off her next album. I think this next year we're going to see a lot of certifications coming Carrie's way. ITYS, SS & maybe TH will reach Platinum status.. MS & DFTRM will finally reach gold! Also JTTW, CC, RM & possibly UI & AAG may hit 2x Platinum!

The other thread was closed so that I can have the Alicia Keys fan base on my hands and I know Mezik can handle this thread better than I do and my avi is the reason why.

TH will take some time. DFTRM will take 3 years to reach Gold
AAG will probably hit in some years (2, I guess) and RM is so hitting 2x platinum next year

Well with the promotion she does with her new album, We can hope that she'll gain newer audiences who never heard any of her songs before. By the end of this fourth era we may see SH hit 7.5M sales, CR hit 3.5M sales and PO hit 2.5M sales! It be amazing though if she were to get a surge in sales from her previous albums like Adele saw with 19 and maybe SH can hit 8M? Right now anything is possible and I'm gonna be here for her no matter what happens.

That would be outrageous I want this album to outsell PO. How big do you think its first weeks sales are going to be?
I don't know about CR, because it has been selling so poorly  It could have been bigger hadn't it been for the Eagles. Also, had they release Last Name some weeks later, AAG would have been a way bigger hit.
I think you are right about SH and PO, but I don't know about CR...

I'm hoping that it outsells PO to, but with this current album market 2M copies sold is gonna be a tough one to get. I think her opening week will be lower compared to all her previous weeks since she's opening in a completely different quarter, so I say somewhere between the 200,000-250,000 range. My guess is low since she's been out of the lime light for quite a while now and promotion is going to have to be AMAZING for her to get a high opening week.
For Carnival Ride they screwed up the whole era. They took a risk releasing SS as a lead single and its sales assured them of that. I think FOTF, CD or TMBIM all would of been better single choices instead of LN and ITYS. Also they really $%$ed up released ITYS right after JAD. All though ballads are her strong point nobody in the right mind should release two ballads in a row *cough*cough*TH & MS*cough*. I think JAD & AAG were the only two proper choices for the album and I think AAG could of been Mega-Successful if it were released as a lead single. But that's my opinion and I know many others will disagree.

I'm think pretty much the same thing. My guess is 220k-270k.
FOTF should have been a single. It's so much fun. And ITYS shouldn't have been. Her vocals are amazing on it but I agree, releasing it after JAD was a really bad idea.
I think AAG is kinda more a grower than an instant hit, like Cowboy Casanova. SS wasn't a stellar lead single. Singles order should have been something like this:
1 - Flat On The Floor/Get Out of This Town
2 - So Small
3 - All-American Girl
4 - Just A Dream
5 - Get Out Of This Town/Last Name

How could I forget about IKYW? It's her best ballad ever.
SLT is nice, but I don't know how well it would have done if it had received the single treatment.
I think PO is one of the weakest tracks on PO. It and MS are my least favorite tracks.

I Know You Won't was robbed
Aaa its funny because Play On is one of my favourite tracks on Play On but maybe it wouldn't do that good if released as a single. SLT is another track I love! I find it the best upbeat song on the album behind CC!

I don't think so. I don't know how much it has been selling, but I think it's not so much. IYH is more likely going to hit Platinum earlier than Wasted. lol I think it has a chance. It sold about 200k+ between 2007-2009, so, IYH may be another Platinum song for the queen

I think Wasted was at 700K last time checked back in 2007..
