Beyonce has many different sounds on her album besides R&B. I think he claims it as R&B because she is a black woman. And what about Femme Fatale, which has almost the same pop sound on almost every song (doesn't mean I dislike the album, but I'm just saying).
Perez lives for generic dance pop I guess.
And I'm the only one that thing both of them sound stupid?
Perez is making it seems as though "too R&B" is a bad thing, and Carson is saying it like a genre has a color.
Perez could have said that he didn't like it because he's not into that type of sound and Carson should have said that you only like pop music or something like that.

Exactly! If RnB isn't Perez's thing than that is fine, but Carson shouldn't have said what he did.
Carson just doesn't like Perez, I've concluded. Though Perez' comment wasn't outwardly racist, IMHO, Carson was going to flip it, to make Perez bad. Don't get me wrong though, Perez shouldn't have said it the way he did, however he didn't use race.

THIS!!!
I don't like Perez but Carson sounded even more ignorant than him this time to be honest.
Carson was out of order. Perez has a right to dislike whatever he wants. It's people REACHING and ASSUMING that because he said it was too 'R&B' = racism.
People are so quick to throw a racist tag on someone.

Nobody said he was racist for not liking R&B. #FAIL
