Katy Perry has been a star for less than ten years, but she's going to get an actual "star" immortalizing her success.
Katy is one of the celebrities announced Thursday as a future recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Other musicians set for the honor include the late rapper Tupac Shakur , '80s MTV star and General Hospital actor Rick Springfield and Ray Parker Jr. , best known as the guy who sang the Ghostbusters movie theme.
It's not known exactly when these celebrities will receive their stars. They have five years to arrange a ceremony, which they must attend personally -- unless, of course, they are no longer with us -- or the honor is forfeited.
Other future inductees announced on Thursday who aren't musicians include Orlando Bloom , Claire Danes , the late Phil Hartman , Sally Field , Jessica Lange , Dabney Coleman and Liam Neeson .
I agree, why give it to someone who has a 5M selling album, seven number ones, countless awards, and has been massive since 2008 and has shown no signs of slowing down?
She is getting one. Variety is reporting this as well which is reliable.
