To be completely honest, and I've said this before, "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" doesn't really fit on
25; the production is almost too pop. Even on songs like "Water Under the Bridge" and "River Lea," her roots are still in it. But I still love "Send My Love." It's so catchy and it's honestly a bop, but it's a shame that all three bonus tracks would've fit much better musically on the album (although I'm fine with "Lay Me Down" staying a bonus track; it's still phenomenal, but out of every song on the album, it's by far my least played).
I am a sucker for "All I Ask," though. I feel like a lot of people are divided on that song, but honestly, it's so beautiful. I get what Mike is saying about how it's almost too Bruno Mars-sounding, but Adele even said that the two of them were known for writing emotional love songs and decided on doing the cheesiest, sappiest love ballad they could possibly do. It's still one of my favorites (only second to "When We Were Young"), and I think it has a lot more meaning to me knowing that Adele wrote it about her friends.
And funny story... So, I was talking to my best friend the other night (and we don't see each other that often anymore, which breaks my heart, but Adele's music actually helped me a lot through not being with my best friend all the time and whatever). He brought up Adele and said that his dad bought
25, and I asked him if he liked it, and I was REALLY hoping he'd say "When We Were Young" was his favorite, because it's mine and it reminds me of him - literally every time I hear it, I think of him.

And he's like, "Oh, my favorite's the second one!" And I was like, "Please tell me you meant the second single and not the second track.... 'Send My Love'? That's your favorite?" And he's like, "Yeah!"

He usually has a great music taste and then all of a sudden he decides he likes THAT song better than "When We Were Young"! I've never been more disappointed....
