Nicki needs to remix GOYK with Katy's vocals and release it. It's the only way to save both of their careers. GOYK would have momentum after Hey Mama, but Ariana had donutgate recently and thus would be stupid to release, but with Katy it'd be problem solved.
Quality of song doesn't mean anything, just take a look at Bad Blood and the success it's receiving. A Nicki & Katy collab would generate lots of buzz and if they released a hot video it could be Nicki's first #1 and Katy's 2015 #1 (she's had a #1 every year this decade, it'll be a shame if she doesn't get one this year).
Bad Blood is an anthem (CUZ BABY NOW WE GOT BAD BLOOD!). GOYK lacks that anthemic quality that all of katy's smashes had and is very weak/anticlimatic that will put radio stations to sleep. a video cant even save it, the 2 dont have chemistry imo. Katy has better chemistry with juicy J.
Cali Gurls is more remembered and well-known among the GP.
Teenage Dream is more acclaimed by critics and is the better song.

At this point, Tweetgate isn't exactly making it easier for Nicki either. Her album on itunes was in the 70s-90s and now is 160ish. People look at her as entitled and using racial sensitivity to mask a more superficial complaint.
Katy would look just as petty as she did tweeting with poor grammar.
