The vocal arrangement is so ugly, though. I can never quite understand why Gaga feels the incessant need to sing through that garish accent she puts on ("it wasn't lahhv; pahh-fect ill-oooshun"). Definitely the biggest detriment to the song.
They're both shite but at least that would have sounded like a Gaga song. Her career trajectory is a total mess at this point, now she's an 80s power rock revivalist act? She has no identity.
