She chose to release a song everyday until the 20th because she wants to see the love for each of her selected tracks each day.
It's not just about sales, it's about when the artist is ready for the general public to listen to their body of work they spent countless of months/years working on.

Sales wise i think it'll affect the casual fans who would've bought it on release day, but since they already illegally downloaded it when it leaked, they go like "why bother redownloading, i already have it for free"
But it could be 5% of her sales affected or 0.5%, we'll never know for sure.

They calculate this stuff, its much more complex than you think.
I remember Gaga being so upset because applause was leaking due to the fact she couldn't have her video shown at the same time as her song, because she wanted the first time for everyone to hear the song was with the visuals.

Then again some artists don't care like Katy Perry, but others do. It seems like Ari does because noticing by her likes/favs on twitter, everyday she releases her new track she'll just like/fav comments about that track then move onto the next the following day.

Report me for legally BUYING an album? From the moment I pay for the album, I can make videos of the product and the question is out of my hands. The store would respond for selling it before the release date.
