They don't need to submit anything "over" anything. All the songs used in the movie will likely be put forward for consideration, and that decision rests with the producers of the movie anyway.
I think it depends on Rihanna because the soundtrack is released under her label.. but anyways DWA will probably sent out every song and if the song does get a nomination they WILL campaign and hard.

Oh nah, Dreamworks will send the songs out themselves, along with movie screeners when it's awards season. And yeah chances are they'll send out every song. Nothing to be lost by doing that. I remember years ago when several songs from Dreamgirls were nominated. It was ridiculous

We don't know. Sure it would be great since thats when March Madness starts, but Rih hasn't confirmed anything nor does she have to release it on Tuesday.
Not every song used in a film is eligible for this category. According to Academy rules, a song should be "original and specifically written for a motion picture. There must be a clearly audible, intelligible, substantive rendition (not necessarily visually presented) of both lyrics and melody, used in the body of the motion picture or as the first music cue in the end credits."
That means Charli's song is ineligible here. Which brings us down to eight. They won't submit no more than three/four so Im gonna assume that Towards the Sun, Feel the Light and another song(s) will get the next submission. Rihanna and JLO are big names (even though JLO isn't a writer) so the songs with them on lead makes the most sense for campaigning because then they will have to perform it at the Oscars. So the Academy kinda looks for that as well. Anyways.. As Real As You As Me is the best song we have by Rih on the soundtrack. It and Feel the Light so far are the only ones I see that could maybe win.

I absolutely loved her recent interview ( the written one). Her talking about not wanting to feel like she's on top. She's so confident in herself without being cocky. She sounds very determined and self aware.
