Squeeze is one of the weakest tracks, lyrically more than all + it has such a basic and weak chorus.
NTKG, I Lied and Dope are all higher than TMG on iTunes despite the latter being the 1st track. Not looking very promising for TMG either for its probable release.

WFH, FLEX, TMG, I LIED, NTKG, DOPE AND WRITE OF ME are the ones that matter to me I think I'll end up deleting the rest.
Obviosyly we know TMG is the next single but I lied needs to be a single after TMG

YAS at predictions rising just a bit - I really hope they come through with the 50K+ in pure sales.
I've been streaming the ****ing **** out of the album since its release and I'll do some more tonight (that's such a cute idea tbh) - hopefully we can get the girls trending again.

Guys, I wrote a review for the album. If you want to have a look into it!
Quote:
They make me feel like a 12 year old girl who has just now found about pop music and has finally found a musical act to stan for but these girls are WORTH IT. Last May, 27th, Fifth Harmony released their sophomore album and if I was worried they'd struggle on putting together a better record than "Reflection", as soon as I heard it, I just said to myself: "I ain't worried about nothing, I ain't worried about nada".
"7/27" is the name of Fifth Harmony's sophomore album. The name of the album relates to when they were formed as a group... Back then they were called LYLAS, what an ugly ass name, right? Who would say that LYLAS, soon to be called 12345 would take the world by storm as the iconic Fifth Harmony? The first girl group to ever score a top 5 hit in the United States since The Pussycat Dolls in 2006 with "Buttons" who managed to get to the top 3, the group (this includes boys) with the most views on Youtube, the group that brough the girl groups trend back! Fifth Harmony have come a long way and as a verified Harmonizer, I couldn't be more proud.
With this being said, "7/27" was released when I was in my trip to the beautiful Madeira island and I remember vividly holding to my iPhone on the bed, "sitting pretty and patient" (lying, I was impatient) waiting for the clock to mark midnight so I could listen to the album (which I had pre-ordered on iTunes) I was so excited for. Midnight arrived. My earphones were in my ears, I was laying on the bed, eyes closed and "That's My Girl" kicked things off.
When I heard "That's My Girl" snippet, I wasn't impressed but as soon as I heard the full version I had nothing but shame. I was ashamed I didn't love the snippet of such a brilliant song. The smart "Worth It" references caught me right at the beginning with that little trumpet playing on the instrumental and the way my girls kicked things off with such a great empowering track was just phenomenal, let me add that the way it builds up during the pre-chorus - led by Normani - is just brilliant, love that fast singing! With this track and its production out of the roof, we can conclude that they're not here to play anymore, they know what they want and they know what we want and they are giving us that... And we're just getting started...
... And they're not slowing down. The anthem of the album has arrived, "Work From Home". You will not be able to resist but to sing along to this smooth and relaxing track that just today - 31/05/2016 - has reached a new peak in the U.S. and managed to peak at #4. "Work From Home" brings the R&B flavor back in the game. Yes, they (I mean Lauren) repeat the word "work" quite a few times but in an understandable way and in a way sexier way. I feel like "Work From Home" is just one of those songs that won't get old. You can have it on repeat, you won't get sick of it... I didn't and I probably played it over 250 times (without inflation!). It is just so smooth that the biggest pop hater would jam to it. One hit wonder, you said? Woops!
"The Life" was the second song to be made available in iTunes. The production of the song is undeniably good and its chorus is just way too catchy but after listening to "7/27", you stop and think: "Why would they want to sell the album with 'The Life' and not another song from the album as they are - in general - superior?" But anyway! That's up to their team. What I love about "The Life" is that Fifth Harmony put a break on their girl empowerment anthems and go universal dedicating a song to the young generation who aims to have a great life, "eating good, getting lid" or "Getting down on a beach in Dubai". After all, their core audience is the younger generation so this is a good choice, did I just answer my own question?
We move on to track number four. Camila Cabello's favorite. It's called "Write On Me" and all the Harmonizers were shocked when a video for this song was released. After delivering three uptempo masterpieces, Fifth Harmony cool things down with this beautiful acoustic midtempo that showcases the talent of this group vocally. Lauren leading the chorus with her raspy voice is just flawless and Camila getting to sing the bridge makes it all better. Did I mention how good is to hear Normani kicking things off with such a soft tone? Can you help but not to smile when listening to this love song? Hell No! It's so uplifting! Even my mom sings this one in the car!
When listening to this album for the first time, my mood changed after "Write On Me" because I was finally listening to the NEW material. "Work From Home", "The Life" and "Write On Me" were already available so this was the first one I had heard NOTHING about. I remember getting chills the first time I was listening to "I Lied". It has this Justin Bieber's "Purpose" type of production especially during the dance break after the chorus. It's a song driven by Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui. Princess Camila gets the award on this one. The way she leads the chorus is just flawless and just makes the song so captivating (well, her tone is captivating and so unique, it's impossible not to praise it). Nearing the end, Normani gets in and delivers the same amount of input as Cabello. She actually showcases some of her most powerful vocals during the entire record, I literally applauded her when I heard it for the first time. This could easily be a radio hit.
The sixth track is Dinah Jane's favorite track from "7/27" and guess what? It's Fifth Harmony's new single, soon to be smash. "All In My Head (Flex)" is a song designed for the summer and if it ends up flopping we can all conclude Summer is no good for the global population. Who would let this smash go away? I have been crazy for this song. Everytime, I hear that beginning, I just get in that dancy mood and it only ends when the song finishes. I have to praise (once again) Lauren as she literally slayed the pre-chorus but there's some praise for my girls Dinah Jane and Normani Kordei whose vocals mix so well together. The transition Dinah-Normani is just flawlessy done. It goes from a party vibe to a sexy vibe in a matter of seconds. Ladies and Gentlemen, we got the smash summer hit right here. No need to search.
"Squeeze" is a beautiful R&B jam that brings the smooth side of Fifth Harmony back. It is not as happy as "Write On Me" but it does have this love feeling attached to it that just makes you wanna cuddle with your loved one. It is the perfect soundtrack for a rainy weekend with the thing you love the most... Dinah Jane - who leads the chorus and does a great job with it - says she loves to squeeze her pillow, so it doesn't necessarly need to be a person, right? Anyone can literally relate to this one following her. The song is taken to a new level during the end when Camila and Dinah join forces in the final chorus.
And now, I need a moment. From the very first time I heard this "I am not gonna leave you now, oh I know it's gonna get better", I fell in REAL and DEEP love with this tune. I can't say this song is a ballad because as soon as Ally ends her first chorus, Camila kicks in the verses along with this tropical beat giving this song this type of summer love ending type of song, do you know what I mean? "Gonna Get Better" is surely one of the highlights of the album for me as I love how emotional Ally sounds during the chorus, how Camila and Normani (!!!!) slay the first verses and how Lauren and Dinah completely kill and murder me during the pre-choruses. The design of the song, the emotion put in it, the build up to the end... Everything about this is completely flawless.
And some will say the same for the ninth track, "Scared Of Happy", a fan favourite but even if so, I can't see this smashing on the charts... Therefore I think this will be kept as an album track solely. I'd say it's the gayest song on the album (which is anything but an insult... If anything a big praise). It has this club beat throughout the entire song and just like "I Lied" it delivers an amazing dance break after the chorus. Dinah Jane leads the chorus once again and does it beautifully. Whenever I hear her part, I can picture this song playing on the club... Everyone with their hands up singing along to it. Just like "Flex", "Scared Of Happy" brings this summer flavor back and if it wasn't for "Flex", this could easily be the second single taking in consideration the summer appeal.
The last track of the standard edition is called "Not That Kinda Girl" and features Missy Elliott whom I really afraid of. She is like a curse to girlgroups... The Pussycat Dolls' "Watcha Think About That", anyone? Danity Kane's "Bad Girl", anyone? Missy, you can stay away from my girls as they are not ready for a career ending just yet. I could tolerate that after this era... Not before. Kidding. But on the levels, I feel like "Not That Kinda Girl" may be the weakest song on the album. It is just feels out of place and is very "noisy"... Yeah, let's call it like that. It is catchy, it is fierce, it is empowering but I feel like "That's My Girl" had a similar concept and it was better overall.
Back to the image of myself laying in a bed in Caniço (Madeira) jamming to the album... As soon as "Not That Kinda Girl" ended I thought: "What? That's It!" And then I realized: "But I only pre-ordered the standard version!!!" That was planned as I thought I'd buy the album the following the day and I actually did go to the mall but at that night I didn't care, I ran to iTunes Store and I downloaded the two tracks from the deluxe edition: "Dope" and "No Way"... And thank God I did as they are some of my favorite songs from the album.
"Dope" is literally dope. It has this smooth vibe attached to it and when Lauren kicks off the chorus by saying "I don't know what else to say but you're pretty ****ing dope", it makes me wonder if I am worth living in this world. It is a song that eventhough it sounds fierce by its lyrics, it sounds vulnerable at the same time and I find that beautiful. It is a song that you can relate to, you don't wanna give it all in but at the same time you want. It's the song that speaks the most to me emotionally. I need to praise Dinah's pre-choruses and also Ally's bridge. They are flawless.
And you get to the end... Unless you're from Japan and you get two extra tracks, "Big Bad Wolf" which is an amazing and flawless electro-pop track that has this Japan designed hit sound. All of the girls kinda of kill it on this one, especially Camila, Normani and Dinah. Camila and Dinah took over the choruses and made it so electrifying and fascinating. On the other hand, Normani gets us prepared for the slayage that Camila and Dinah are about to deliver as she is in charge of the pre-chorus. I'd actually say "Big Bad Wolf" is the most pop song on the record. As for the second japanese track, "1000 Hands", the girls deliver an emotional vocal performance once again, something they haven't done yet (because I haven't spoken about "No Way"). The vocals are on point and this is the REAL ballad of the album, the only song that actually follows the structure. The only song driven solely by a piano and violins. It's beautiful and one of the most mature songs on the entire record. Applauses to Lauren's chorus which is a total slayage.
Let's go back to the deluxe edition and to the last track most of you will listen... "No Way". This is a track that was supposed to be on their previous record but was reffused so the girls BEGGED for it to be on "7/27". It is one of the highlights of the album. This song is probably the most abstract one as you don't get to know exactly the theme of it. It can be love, it can be friendship, it can be Fifth Harmony. I am taking the last one: "We got an audience calling us crazy, we ignore those with opinions of hate. We're not like the rest of them, friends with insanity as of lately" can be heard throughout the lyrics and it kinda says everything. I feel like this is the most personal track for them as they can sing it to eachother and accept eachother exactly as they are. This girlgroups weren't created to last a few years, not much more than that. Fifth Harmony have been with us for 4 years now and they have grown up so much and they have had their ups and downs. Nonetheless, I feel like they have mad respect for eachother and no matter what happens in the future, they will always accept eachother: "Everyone comes with scars but you can love them away. I told you that I wasn't perfect, you told me the same".
"7/27" is a journey and a product of hard working, success and thrive for it. Fifth Harmony broke the rules and will certainly mark this generation as the biggest girlgroup of our days. Thank You girls.

It's very loud, the extremely female-centric lyrics will be off-putting, and it doesn't have enough of an edge to it to make it a big on-demand streaming hit. Even though I prefer it as a song to All In My Head, I'm very happy they chose AIMH as the next single, and I'd rather see I Lied be the third single over TMG. It'd be a shame for the Olympics commercial and the supposedly amazing video to go to waste, but I really can't see it being a hit in the US.

I said that the day the Olympics commercial snippet leaked and Haromnizers dragged me for it
Sonically, I LOVE TMG. The girls really deliver on it, and the production is sick. That being said, I don't really see it doing well as a single. It sucks to say, but female-centric, "girl power" songs rarely do well anymore.
That's one of the reasons I'm happy they pushed up All In My Head. It's much closer to the formula that 5H has found success in thus far.

TMG has been one of the more overrated tracks on the album since the snippet leaked. WFH and AIMH are just far better suited and structured for radio. I worry about future singles though, as the other radio-ready tracks on the album are very, very straightforward pop and I wonder how well they'd do. I would personally love to see "I Lied" have a chance at being a single. "Dope" remains my favorite song on the album, and though I would love more people in the GP to hear it, I doubt it would ever have a chance at being released in any form.
