I'm nervous, as I am for every elimination. But I'm also very excited to see what everyone brought to the table and how we all ranked.

Cycle 6
Contestants! It has once again come time for the results to be announced. However, as SiXo has been removed from the competition due to his untimely ban, only he will be "going home" this round. However, as previously announced, Judge Marnie, Judge Matty, and myself have come to an agreement as to which team will be given immunity, and will therefore be exempt from having to participate in the next challenge (and will not be able to be eliminated in the next round). But first, let us take a look at where each of you stood in the competition after the previous round, with MATTY'S LEGENDARY CALLOUT CHARTS!

Now, in Challenge 4 (There's No "I" in "Team") you were asked to come together in assigned groups to present mini-biographies about an artist from the list provided. Below are each team's entries, and I have to say the judges and I were VERY impressed with all three of the entries. However, only one team rose above and beyond and will be granted IMMUNITY. Here are your entries:
- - - - - - - Team A (quiqui4eva, mitchie22, Nait Phoenix) - Nicki Minaj - - - - - - -
Nicki Minaj
"I believe that life is a prize, but to live doesn't mean you're alive."

 |
She reached commercial success with her debut album peaking at #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200. She was the first artist ever to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100. She gives every rapper in the game a run for their money. Who else would we talk about but the amazing Nicki Minaj!
Onika Tanya Maraj was born on December 8th, 1984, in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago. Her grandmother raised her until the age of 5, when she moved to Queens, New York, with her parents. There, alcoholic and drug problems affected her father drastically. At one point, he attempted to set the house on fire and kill the mother!
|
Later, Maraj found interest in music while attending Elizabeth Blackwell School, playing the clarinet. She then pursued singing and acting in Laguardia High School. Singing at that school was Onika's primary goal. Unfortunately, on the day of the audition, she lost her voice.
Maraj's interest for rapping grew tremendously over the years. She was found and signed by Dirty Money Records after releasing videos of herself rapping on Myspace. A series of mixtapes followed, and Lil' Wayne discovered the "soon-to-be-hitmaker." He praised her unique style of rapping. Eventually, she was signed with Cash Money / Universal Records. She immidiately changed her name to Nicki Minaj.
With her new album Pink Friday, Nicki is a true force to be reckoned with. She has earned respect from many artists, such as Drake, Kanye West, Britney Spears, Eminem, Lil' Wayne, Jay Sean, and more. In the many years that come, she will be a living legend without a doubt in our mind!

Nicki Minaj is beyond your typical female emcee; she is an entertainer beyond caliber. She brings a style of performing that rivals most rappers today, let alone female rappers. She can sing, she can dance, and isn’t afraid to put on a show that exploits her “creative” personalities. She has collaborated with rap familiars, like label mates Drake & Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Eminem, Jay-Z, and Kanye West; R&B phenoms like Usher, Trey Songz & Keyshia Cole, and pop icons like Natasha Bedingfield, Britney Spears, Rihanna & Mariah Carey. Nicki became the second ever female rapper to achieve a number one debut album in the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart which was thought impossible for a female rapper after Eve. Also, she has secured two number one singles in the Billboard rap charts, one in the R&B charts, and became the first ever artist to have seven singles on the Billboard Hot 100 charts at the same time. And, aside from her alter-egos, Nicki has made it clear that she is a representative for girls who need someone to tell them they're beautiful and sexy (and mean it) with her strong personality and even stronger messages in her songs. It’s safe to say that the Trinidadian rap superstar is a familiar face to many artists, a household name to the public, and an icon to her fans.
"My haters are my motivators."
Smokin' Aces
- - - - - - - Team B (IAmCannibal, SiXo, $CBCOOL$) - Lady GaGa - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - Team C (Sin With A Grin, Deuces, eegigyy) - Beyoncé - - - - - - - *Note: In order to retain the original formatting of your entry, I took snapshots of each section and placed them here as images (as the thread formatting sent your alignment off).
While each team approached the challenge a bit differently, one of you managed to win us over with the thoroughness of your entry.
Team A, your entry was well put-together, and included a lot of information about Nicki Minaj that most people wouldn't have otherwise known. Your layout was nice, but the presentation of images could have been a bit cleaner and the many different font colors might not have been completely necessary (though at certain points it worked quite well). Overall, a great effort!
Team B, I am incredibly pleased that SiXo was able to get your team's entry in before he was banned, and I like what you did with formatting your entry as an image. However, I feel that by formatting it as an image there was a lot more room for you to create an eye-catching layout, and compared to the other two entries yours seemed to pale in comparison (aka. it just wasn't as visually appealing) Still, nice job!
Team C, your entry was probably the most well-organized and visually appealing, but the information included didn't seem as thorough as it could have been. Also, it would have been nice to have given Beyoncé a bit more of a human appeal by providing a random fact that didn't have to do with her star quality. We all know Beyoncé is a HUGE star, and we know about her movies, but what people know as much about is her personal life (especially since she goes to such great lengths to keep it private), so including something more personal in the random fact section would have been a welcome addition. Regardless, your entry was stunning!
Ultimately, only ONE team can be given immunity, and after deliberation, Marnie, Matty, and myself have decided. The team winning IMMUNITY for the next round is.....
TEAM A!
Congratulations to quiqui4eva, mitchie22, and Nait Phoenix! Your entry was packed full of less commonly-known information about Nicki Minaj. This attention to detail is what ultimately caused your entry to stand out from the rest, and you have won IMMUNITY! You will therefore not be required to participate in the next challenge. Don't let this immunity go to your head though, for your immunity will only last one round!
To the rest of you, please be on the lookout for Challenge 5 which will be posted tomorrow, August 10th, at noon Pacific Standard Time! Remember, two of you will be going home at the end of that challenge. Good luck!

Congrats Team A!
Ya'll really did an amazing job. So did Team B.
So nobody is eliminated this round?
This also means that only 5 people are actually competing in the next challenge. Elimination is going to be tough! I'm a bit scared. But I'm also excited. I can't wait for the next challenge.

Team C was better in their delivery, yes, but Matty, Marnie, and I weren't only looking for that. While I initially ranked Team C highest, as we deliberated it was clear that Team A had done something neither Team B or C had done quite as well. But you are entitled to your opinion, of course.

Yes, lol. Just as I mentioned in the State of the Member address, no one went home from that round apart from SiXo, but to make up for what was planned to be a triple elimination, and to award the winning team, the winners received the immunity while two people out of the 5 competing in the next challenge will be going home.
