REVOLUTION RECORDS GOING ON TWO-WEEK HIATUS STARTING TODAY
Revolution Records CEO Georgie Skai has told us before that the label will be a taking a short two-week vacation starting today.
"I really need to get my **** together," Georgie laughed. "But seriously - last year I was not able to manage everyone at the same time and all of those acts deserved so much more. I definitely do not want to make the same mistake, plus we've all been working so hard we need a break to just focus on our personal lives. Two of my acts are mothers - it's hard managing a career and being a mom at the same time."
"We're starting our comeback ****ing huge. Like... I don't think there will be a cultural/impactful debut that can match what we have in store — Shanaynay." Shanaynay is reportedly a stuffed animal which will have a huge era. "Her era is going to be MASSIVE. Pretty much everyone will be singing along to her songs whenever they're on radio. She's THAT BITCH."
"As for Céline, she's having an extended break because she's just worked her ass off. I mean, if there's anyone on our label who deserves an extension it's without question her. She'll be coming back in early February and "#TurntUp" will not disappoint."
"With M.I.A. I feel like I've failed a bit. The single's been out for three weeks and has only sold 300.000 copies. We've definitely flopped her on this one. Her album is incredible though, along with Céline their records are the only finished ones. I'm such a huge fan and she's definitely influenced me."
"As for me... welp I'm doing alright I think! I could do better, but with the comeback like I said we're amping up everything so I know I'll do better. I'll be polishing up and completing my record over the break, as well as rehearsing for my St. Jude gigs. Really excited for that!"
"Lastly, Emily Wilson. Her album is definitely a true TEAM effort. I mean... what else am I supposed to say about Credit Card Girl?" Emily Wilson has been viral by tweeting her credit card information and many people made fake single/album covers with her on it. She actually decides to become an artist, taking many hits and re-working them.
"And we're gonna throwback a bit. We'll start off coming back with a press conference." Revolution Records press conferences are legendary — as Miley Cyrus's album information + "Bitch Like That" information was revealed there. The next conference would spill the info on Danity Kane's, Krewella's and Céline Dion's eras that were either cancelled or postponed. Georgie Skai left off by saying this:
"Well... I may not be promoting MY artists and myself for a while... but I of course WILL be stanning for some acts now."
He then rapped and sung some parts of "Boss Ass Bitch (Nicki Minaj Remix)" by saying:
"When I'm back on the prowl, you bitches better... have my money. 'Cuz I'm coming, for you... / When I lay low, bitches be safe and sound. When I come back, they better not make a sound."
