Yeah, definitely the second option IMO. One that tried to be serious but failed for some reason, like choosing a bad pic, bad photoshop, bad font, etc.

Don't just use your artist's worst pic and make a cover with that

Yup. Disjointed, all over the place, leave out the best songs, anything that makes it really bad.
