"Video Games" wasn't a global hit. You fail in the U.S., you're not global. Sorry. It's funny racist Brazilians and Australians like to discredit the U.S., but it is the market to break into. Sorry, again.
I have started to wonder if she might try to pull out a ballad next in an attempt turn it around.
But I can also see her being like
"I'm Lady Gaga ah dew wut ah wahnt!"
I'm 99% sure her next single will be the title track. She keeps mentioning the lyrics "we could belong together" in every interview and confirmed those lyrics are from the title track.
Video Games was an obvious flop in the US, but it still did moderately overall. Royals is still breaking out, so I don't know why you're acting like it's some crossover smash when it has hardly done anything yet.
Lana can still sell her albums though. BTD only went gold in the states yet sold 4.5M outside of it. A flop in the US =/= a flop everywhere else.
And it’s okay that I’m broken. I can be broken in the Cubist or Surrealist sense. Like a Picasso nose, or a Dalí clock—ahead of its time, not pathetic or shameful. Plus I’m wearing a custom Saint Laurent sequined jacket from Hedi Slimane. Impossible to be sad!
She should be aware that she's starting to sound like Gwyneth Paltrow...
How much did GaGa sell with Tha Fame Monster fresh off of Bad Romance?
I don't see Katy selling more than 300,000 first week but didn't Teenage Dream do like 18_,___?
I also don't think this will be a major smash for Katy,a nice liddo Im Back On Tha Scene hit but nothing massive.
Like i said before,im thinking GaGa's next single will be her We Belong Together. But if it's just some messy trash like Applause she might as well retire.
Gaga's been talking about how this album is like an explosion of dance and electronic music. Do you actually think she can put out a song as commercially viable as WBT?
It did "moderately" - keyword. It's funny how when some artists do "moderately" overseas, they are considered "local" or failures. "Video Games" was not a global hit, and it was a bomb in the U.S., thus making it not a hit. End of.
