Well he's also in a sub-unit group with Key from SHINee so I guess it's easy to get them confused
If you're just after a couple albums to listen to as an intro to both those groups, for Infinite I'd recommend their Paradise Repackage album, plus either their Infinitize or Evolution mini-albums (both have b0ps on them). For SHINee I guess start with their most recent mini-album Everybody and work backwards from there, unless you're more into R&B music in which case start from their very first mini-album and work forwards
Both groups have quite large discographies and their musical styles are quite varied across their albums. Here are a couple highlights from each group if you cba with albums or minis.
Woohyun is for sure my Infinite bias, L is up there too.

For SHINee you should definitely get into Sherlock, although the mini, lacks a bit. So I'd then say Everybody. Their Misconceptions albums are really good, too.
nn yeah I know about the subunit, but I believe I saw some K-Pop confession on Tumblr today about an 'underrated' Shinee member and he reminded me of him.
