My theory on how it all ends:

Regina will ultimately kill Rumple and become the Dark One. He needs to go. The student kills the teacher. However as you know, if you kill the Dark One then you become the Dark One. If you notice throughout the entire show, no matter how evil Regina was, she never tried to kill Rumple. Strange. I think they have been saving that until the very end. This is why after the darkness left Emma instead of the writers getting rid of it fully, they put it back to Rumple. I think the ultimate goal at the end is to have Regina kill Rumple then become the Dark One. I have a feeling she will have his dagger and he is going to provoke her.

I then think Regina will go full bad ass at the end of the show having a huge showdown with Emma. This replicates her god like presence in the first episode (AKA "I will destroy you if it is the last thing I do"). The true queen of all evil. The first episodes establishes the battles of wills between Emma and Regina. In the end, I think Regina will defeat Emma nearly killing her. But with pleading from Henry she doesn't. This is what will separate Regina from Rumple. This is why she is not the truly the Evil Queen. If you notice Rumple chose power over his son (Bae) and was a coward. Instead Regina will be stronger then Rumple ever was and get rid of the darkness completely most likely sacrificing her own life to destroy the darkness completely. But all of this will parallel with Rumple's relationship with his son.

If you kill the Dark One with the dagger you become it. But what happens if the Dark One kills themselves? I believe the darkness will go completely. I just don't see Rumple and Regina leaving the show unscathed. Possibly Hook too who is 300 years old. However I see all three having happiness in the sense they all had someone to love. Rumple had Belle, Regina had Henry, and Hook had Emma.

I mean if you watch one of the last scenes from the pilot with Emma and Regina look closely.
A. Regina threatens to destroy Emma
B. Regina ends the entire scene confessing her love for Henry
I feel like all this will have something to do with the final ending of the show.

Are you just going to skip over the part where the fan reaction has made them shift Regina's characterisation as she is hands down the most popular character? She won't die. She's getting her happy ending. Knowing this show it'll probably be with something aggravating and slightly anti-feminist like all of a sudden she can have children and finds a dude, cause you sure as hell can't have a happy ending without either those in this world.

I don't want it to end this season, I don't mind if the last season would be season 7, than they can fully wrap everything up, without making some things too rushed, they already went back to a more season 1/2 build up, they said. So two more seasons (6/7) with that build up would give more oppertunities to wrap up things more solid and logical.

The logic behind a Regina death is that The Evil Queen dies in nearly every single version of Snow White. I think she will find happiness in that she will die not being known as the Evil Queen but a good person. And she will be happy in knowing that people loved her and looked at her as a hero(Emma, Snow, Charming and most importantly Henry). Her having a happy ending through death gives redemption for all those she has hurt and lives destroyed. It would not be fair if she lived while she killed and ruined entire villages. This leaves some justice.

But as I said, it is just a theory. They could end it any way. You might be right and them give her a formal happy ending in how they screwed her so bad for 6 seasons.

I really want at least one more season after season six. This next storyline feels big, but not big enough for a final season, you know? If you don't know what I mean, just think about Lost, and you'll understand if you remember what happened for its sixth and final season.

I've been rewatching the finale tonight from season five, and I just really love it so much. I love the battle inside Regina, and I hope that the Evil Queen vs. Regina will be even more interesting. I really want Regina to find love, too. She needs to love again!!! She totally deserves it now more than ever. Please!!! Maybe the hot new guy who's going to help Belle and Rumple communicate? His name is Craig Horner, and he has longer hair, so he is beautiful!!! Also, I love the humor in the finale, like especially with Rumple. I like how the finale sits, yet I'm really excited for the premiere. Ignore the fact that we're pretty much only halfway through the hiatus... but Comic Con is coming soon! I think it's on Saturday, so we'll be getting a TON of new information then.

The season six premiere episode is titled "The Savior." Is it still Emma, or are they going back to Regina the Savior again? So many questions and so long to wait!

I really hope the show steps their game up on Emma.

The character seem to take a backwards evolution rather than a forward one. She has become very "meh" in my opinion and needs something to make her character better. I think she was a lot more strong headed and bold in the first season then she is now. She seemingly stuck in the same position as Charming and Snow who were also more interesting in season one. Her relationship is great with Hook even though I'm not a huge fan but she needs more. In my opinion she hasn't done much saving to even be called the savior lately.

I agree, I must say that I was suprised that they didn't used that season 1 persona but then evil for Dark Swan. I mean the darkness was busy taking her over, but it ll stayed too much middle of the road. The trailer promised a very mentally unstable Emma, but in the end it was basically normal era with a few dark choices in the first half of season 5.

I think it will focus more on Aladdin and his story. Where as OUATIW didn't even mention Aladdin. It was just Jafar.

It's a different actor anyways. They better not acknowlege that show's existence.

I'm glad they're bringing Aladdin's storyline though. They also said that they're doing small arcs this season like they used to do in the earlier seasons. Maybe it has something to do with land of untold stories or whatever that place is called.
