She's also a female rapper. Like Missy, Kim and more she did pop. But unlike them she actually has pop appeal. She is the best selling female rapper of all time. Also Nicki has the best selling rap albums by a female in the past 10 years. More than Missy, Kim, Igloo, Azealia, Eve, Kreyshawn, Angel and more chicks who have released albums since 2005. Pink Friday has sold as much as Missy's best seller and only Lauryn has outsold Pink Friday

But let's be real - she has pop appeal because she's essentially half pop, or more. Super Bass? Starships? The Night Is Still Young? All pop, for example. In fact, I'd argue that her catalog of mildly generic pop is more impressive than her "hip hop" or rap catalog, and among the most impressive of any major artist, but the latter fact is neither here nor there.
