I think if Bernie had started campaigning at the beginning of 2015 he would have beat her in Iowa and done better in the South. Hillary is lucky! She'll become president too. But it's not like cause she's inspiring or the one voters would love to have in the WH, she's just the only rational option when the choice is Trump vs Clinton.

I think the late Sanders campaign is actually helping him. Had he started campaigning earlier he'd probably have run out of money + momentum by now (also, the more exposure he gets, the more you realize he's a know-nothing like Trump-)

Getting mad about being called out for posting right-wing news sources after posting garbage from the Washington Examiner, and using a random anti-Clinton Twitter as "proof" that Sanders didn't bomb that interview.

Like I said the inability to handle even the SLIGHTEST criticism is astounding. I do wish Sanders could actually make it to the general, just to see heads explode across the internet as the GOP undresses him.

Lol. There are plenty on law professors that will argue that you can hold gun makers liable or if not negligent. In fact, a jury just held a gun store liable and awarded 6 million to two victims of gun violence in Wisconsin so whatever that law professor is tweeting, it ain't gospel.

The thing is though that the NRA bought gunmakers congress-approved immunity which makes the task harder if not impossible.

I think that a majority of GOP voters this year didn't really care about any of the original 16 candidates. They chose not to participate in the GOP primary and allowed a core minority of GOPers, dienhard conservatives and nutcases, to vote Cruz and Trump and allow those two to prosper.

Now that the field has shrunk, Cruz is doing well because he's considered the lesser of two evils.

Yeah I agree....there were no establishment candidates that excited the base and thus Cruz and Trump were the beneficiaries

In an exchange with the New York Daily News editorial board a few days ago, Bernie said he didn’t know if the Fed had authority to break up the big banks but the President does have such authority under the Dodd-Frank Act.

This drew an onslaught of criticism from the media: "Bernie Sanders Admits He Isn't Sure How to Break Up Big Banks," read Vanity Fair's headline. "This New York Daily News interview was pretty close to a disaster for Bernie Sanders," said The Washington Post. "How Much Does Bernie Sanders Know About Policy?" asked The Atlantic. The Clinton campaign even said in a fundraising email "on his signature issue of breaking up the banks, he's unable to answer basic questions about how he'd go about doing it, and even seems uncertain whether a president does or doesn't already have that authority under existing law."

The criticism is bonkers. Bernie was absolutely correct when he said the President has the authority to break up the big banks under Dodd-Frank. He's repeatedly specified exactly how he'd use that Dodd-Frank authority to do so. His critics are confusing the Dodd-Frank Act with the Federal Reserve. Whether the Fed has the authority on its own to break up the biggest banks is irrelevant.

Clearly, Bernie has the Democratic establishment worried enough to try to twist his words into pretzels.
