Having the ability to sue them makes them more apt to having better restrictions and actually keep track of their weapons. That's why she supports it, why I do, and why the families do

Her intentions behind this are so painfully obvious. She's trying to take the deaths of those children and paint Sanders as being unsympathetic towards them by disagreeing with the parents who are suing gun manufacturers. It's truly pathetic and low.
And the fact of the matter is it is not illegal to manufacture or buy guns in this country. Holding them at fault is misguided. Most Americans likely agree that suing gun manufacturers and blaming them for gun violence and deaths is ridiculous as well. Like i said, it's like suing car companies or alcohol companies for drunk drivers. Or obese people suing fast food restaurants for their weight problems. People are responsible for their own decisions. Gun manufacturers are not responsible for the decisions certain people make.
Should assault weapons, etc be banned? Absolutely and Sanders supports that. But some of these arguments go way too far. This is why people vote republican. You take something like gun rights and start going way too far with it for political gain. There is no answer to solving gun violence but by passing certain reforms like background checks, etc. But suing gun manufacturers is legit illogical.
