Just because Rob Thomas is very much respected and his song is a lot better than most of the ****** songs out there his song is doing really well. Maybe it isn't the best song but it is a good song and with him which is making it extremely popular.

The more times a song is played the more people that can actually hear it. Audience impressions are how many actually tune in to listen to a radiostation and can hear the song. If the station is in like New York the audience impression is higher even though a small town radiostation is playing the song as much as the NY station (aka equal spins).
