She doesn't need to perform this song at VMA (but I hope she will). She needs to do the right promo, so you don't need to promote your "adult" single in a teen show.

I disagree, promo is promo. I think TCAs would be a good idea. Demi's song isn't even that explicit.

If Demi plans on becoming controversial with the song, then the TCAs would be a perfect place, the song isn't even that explisit, if anything her choice of clothing would get people talking more than the performance

Promo is promo but you should have learned that the most effective promo is the one well targeted.

This song is doing worse than her previous probably because of her imagine changing. It happens whenyou have a lot of pre-teen in ur fanbase (ask Miley). The goal of the era is to aim to a new target, and that target doesn't watch TCA.

Have you seen Miley performing WCS or even CBT at the TCA?

She's trying to separate herself from her disney imagine with this single.

Obviously I wouldn't blame her if she decides to promote this there, but I still think it will be a loss of time.

I agree and tbh, this thing about her image, I highly doubt it's as dramatic as y'all are making it sound like. It's summer and she's wearing a bikini, that's not "adult" or "explicit". Yes the lyrics are provocative but it's just as provocative as most other pop songs. It won't be as effective as the VMAs obviously but it's definitely not a mistake to perform it there IMO.

I wish everyone would just enjoy the song. When the DEMI era happened, we were begging for pop/rock explicit music, but when she releases a perfect song with it you all find a flaw. Can we all calm and realise that we're getting new Demi music? Not checking the sales, stressing about flopping, yes work and promote it, but don't come in here only to post red updates (coughs), and just stop being messy. This song is good, that's all that should matter. Music should be more than what we all think it is.
