Freak Show isn't AS bad as people make it out to be, but it's still really bad and easily the worst of the four seasons.
Asylum wins hands down. The character development, the plot lines, The acting.... Everything about it was perfect. And some people hate the alien thing, which was certainly random and annoying how it was never conclusive, but I think that was the point. Considering the time period it's set in and the topic (insane asylums). Science was still developing new technology, but there were still so many unknowns. Not all the answers were present, and even answers people think were discovered, we know now in 2015, are not true (mental patient treatments, the church, Arden's crazy experiments).
Wow I looked way too far into that, no way was that Murphy's reasoning for never finishing a plot line; it is Ryan Murphy after all
