I hope Alola Muk is a slay, which is doubtful. A-Grimer is triggering me, it looks like a complete waste of space, especially given they could have altered the concept more meaningfully: a water type blob-ish thing like the water flans from FFX? Lava or Sand-like given it's on a tropical island? Hell, even a snowy form, given this gen basically has 0-1 new ice lines, lbr? No, we'll make it slightly darker with piss coming out of it's mouth, and add dark typing... What a wasted space that could have been used on Alola Arcanine, Dragonite, Lapras or Jynx lines (pretty sure we're getting none of those, just more flops). Alola forms peaked with their first reveals, namely Alola Vulpix/Ninetales. Everything else after has been Truly the fad of Pokemon.
Like, if Grimer was an Unova form, I could deal with that. Why is it supposed to even be this super polluted (I'm assuming) dark type in a tropical region that looks a lot cleaner than most of the regions we've been to thus far anyway? Ugh.

I agree to some extend
I mean I get they can't change all mon typing completely, but if the vulpix line basically become the opposite type of what they once were with a pretty cool explaination and then we get Grimer, which probably will have a crappier explaination than Pikachu/Raichu eating loads of pancakes

I know it's a kids game, but the environment leans itself for so much more, and especially with Poison mon since the environment looks the cleanest so far, really nature based. The lava or water suggestion would have been far better, but I guess we have to deal. I mean I don't mind it's new typing that much, I just dearly hope we get some more Vulpix/Ninentales/Marowak suprises for other Alolan Forms.
