There's no point for an adds date after the movie release, really. With radio, it takes time to take effect after all.

Yeah but that would completely go against reasoning for shooting a video. If they didnt care about the song money/ time wouldn't have been invested from the beginning. Dreamworks isn't in a position to waste money

That's true. With DWA pulling the strings, there's still hope as opposed to your typical Rihanna era.

The MV was shot well in advance, though. Plans change, rational or not. Plus a video offers different kind of exposure compared to the radio. Short-lived, but probably more effective if paired with the movie release. You can't really rush the other one.

It was smart not to add TTS on pop radios, people would think its Rihanna's new song from her new album and not from the movie HOME, I don't think it would've helped the movie, if anything it would've confused the GP (thinking TTS is R8's 2nd single).

FTL video & TTS video will be enough imo, plus JLo is performing FTL on Idol and they're about to do some promo in NY.

@istan, Youre talking about the GP getting confused but youre anticipating the release of American Oxygen this month. Meanwhile home soundtrack comes out the 24, confusion is/ was bound to happen at some point regardless

I think some of you are underestimating how much Dreamworks has riding on this movie and soundtrack. This is the only project they have this year, I highly doubt they will abandon things just cause...

J.lo can perform on idol everyday doesn't change the fact that she is a very weak seller. Feel the light hasn't even charted in the Top 100 and people have the nerve to come for towards the sun.

Just being realistic, AO is likely coming this month. I mean if there's only R8 singles on the radio people won't get confused. I don't think there will have any confusion with HOME soundtrack, I mean it's just a soundtrack for an animated movie (not like it was 5SOG), it's a various artists EP, with only 3 Rihanna songs.

I'm not saying DWA will abandon things tho, just saying that Rih's priority is R8. She released FFS in January and kept teasing the album, the next single is about to be released, HOME is like a side project for her. I'm not saying she will pay it dust or anything, but the movie / OST won't block her from releasing a new single from R8 etc. etc.

TTS isn't a pop smash, if they really cared they wouldn't have released it as a single. Meanwhile, if Drop That is a bop for the kiddies I wouldn't be surprised if it does well off the strength of the movie alone.

Plus, I feel like kid's movie soundtracks simply sell on their own. I had so many growing up, even from super irrelevant movies.
