disco my friend by calling him "romeo" and by him calling her "juliet" she is basically comparing their situation to the 1500s equivalent of the relationship between justin bieber and his #cut4bieber fans. ie: romeo goes to a party coz he's thirsty for one girl, gets turned on by the another, pays the first dust, and within the space of 4 days they get married, fake a suicide, and both off themselves....... mess. now the Scarlet Letter reference i love. had lord made the song completely in that vein i would be worshiping. mixing metaphors is a messy business, especially when you're being selective over which part of the imagery you want to highlight
