I liked how
Freak Show ended, though. It was much more tied together and emotionally fulfilling than the endings of
Murder House and
Coven (though
Freak Show admittedly didn't have that many plot lines to begin with, which was its ultimate flaw).
Asylum obviously has the best ending, and remains the only season that's consistent in quality from start to finish (

).
On a separate note, I agree with the statement that
Freak Show was just as camp as
Coven. The mood was much more dour in
Freak Show, but the musical numbers and certain segments really evoked a camp, 1930s film vibe. I think one of my favorite moments of
Freak Show is the scene where Stanley finally gets his comeuppance. The entire scene is an homage to
Freaks, and shows what I mean.
