Everyone has been dragging TIHWD and IS left and right. In Brazil we have that same type of forum and most of the fans also hate them. As Benjamin said, if her own fans hate these tracks (yes, I'm speaking for the majority of them, not 3 or 4 Kats), what about the public?

Part of Me was only a hit because it was a semi-lead single, and the majority of Katy's fanbase loved it 2 years before it came out, it was just old and stale to them by the time it was officially released.

I don't understand why a fanbase would despise any of her material anyway, especially fun pop material akin to the majority of her material. That just seems kind of contradictory to me. It's not even true anyway, it's just some members, there are clearly Kats, like myself, who like the song too.

This I can agree with though. I remember the Teenage Dream outtake leaking back in 2010 around the time that Firework was released as a single, I believe. It slayed me so much. I remember them saying that it was the Teenage Dream reissue lead and got so excited... but obviously it just kept on getting pushed back with the slayage of all of the singles released after Firework.

Its not that IS is a horrible song. Its cute, but its lazy. The album has so many standout tracks, theres no reason to release this one.

IS doesn't deserve the hate.
It's generic and basic, but it's also really catchy and fun. I'm not saying it should be a single, but it really deserves more love.

Of course it means. The fans want the better for Katy and we know those generic and basic songs are gonna ruin her image. You're talking like there's no upbeat option left on the album, while Walking On Air and Legendary Lovers are worhty tracks available, not trashy. Also, we already had 2 hits, there's no need to be scary.

Reread almost all of the reviews for PRISM and you'll find that they describe IS as the most basic, generic song from the record yet easily an instant hit for Katy. IDK how you'd interpret that but, as a fan you kinda want an artist to grow and if that means having not to release sure hits...I'm up for it...Besides, given the right song, timing and chance, we'll find a slow Katy song that the GP will resonate with. It doesn't necessarily have to be Number 1, as long as it'll able to show another side of Katy whilst being eaten up by people.

IS is a big recycled track that Luke made with Kesha's Thinking of You and Katy's Last Friday Night. Its too basic and generic when compared with the other single worthy tracks from PRISM.

And it's definitely the most hated songs by the kats, it could be a single but when you have songs like WoA and LL and even TIHWD that could be huge smashes i don't get why she should release IS.

Is there anyway to know if Katy will be performing on the BBMA. I know she has a show on that date but can't she perform it live on tour. It'll be like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. Promotion that Birthday deserves and Promotes the tour for that 100M gross.

I hope they do air her tour performance. I think it should be top 10 by the BBMAs and it would be ideal.

What are the restrictions on having re-releases count as the same album. If you have more than 3 songs does it not count as the same album?
